Can I book anywhere?

Yes. Fly us anywhere in the world and we'll bring our equiptment and a joyful attitude.

Anywhere in the US can be booked for the next opening in the schedule.

Locations outside of the US may require prep for permit planning and travel to site.

Accomodations are provided for pilot in all locations outside of the Detroit metro area.

How do I become a licensed UAS pilot to join the team?

Becoming a UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) Pilot requires several qualifications, safety and regulation training with formal in-person proctored testing and renewal testing every 2 years.

Steps for Aspiring Drone Pilots

  • Take the test to obtain your Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) Certificate. (All recreational drone flyers are legally required to pass the short online aeronautical knowledge and safety test and provide proof of passage if asked by law enforcement or FAA personnel.)
  • Practice flying your drone for fun to log recreational flight hours.
  • Get your FAA Tracking Number (FTN).
  • Create your Integrated Airman Certification and Rating Application (IACRA) profile prior to registering for the knowledge test licensing exam
  • Register with FAA.PSI Testing, using your FTN for qualification
  • Schedule Your In-person 2 hour FAA Parts 107 Exam at a PSI Testing Center.
  • Pay $175 within 10 minutes of Registering
  • Practice Daily to Study and Prepare:
    > Review Part 107 Rules & Regulations provided at Registration for Exam
    > Read the 35pg FAA Airman Certification Standards Document
    > Read the 88pg FAA Remote Piolot sUAS Practice Guide (Take Notes)
    > Get 80%+ on Practice Tests
    > FAA UAG Sample Questions
    > Watch Dr. J Part107 Prep Lectures Here
    > Watch Mr. Miggs Classroom Prep
  • Take Timed/Proctored Exam and achieve a minimum of 42 of 60 Qs to pass with 70% for Remote Pilot License (renew every 2 years)
  • Once passed, login to the FAA Integrated Airman Certificate and/or Rating Application system (IACRA) to complete FAA form 8710-13.
  • Register your aircraft with the Federal Aviation Association (renew every 3 years).
  • Once registered, mark your drone with your registration number.
  • Since your drone requires an FAA registration number it will also be required to broadcast Remote ID information (unless flown within a FRIA).
  • Upgrade your equiptment to a licensed pilot kit to include propeller guards to fly over people, anti-collision red/green lights to fly during civil twilight, add registration tag and QR code to social media accounts.
  • Schedule a Meeting with Us to Discuss Team Projects.
